K-Pop Communicating through Global SNS: Super Junior receives Mashable Awards at CES 2012
Hello everyone, continuing with the CES series after our 2 previous posts, today we’re going to look at some special events at this year’s CES. One particular event that will be held on January 11th at The Las Vegas Convention Center is an awards ceremony. The award ceremony just so happens to be the “Mashable Awards” given out by America’s #1 IT news group and website, Mashable. Being given out for the 5th year in a row, this award is given to companies, people, products or services that have attained great eye-opening success this past year in 4 categories, which include social media and technology.

Super Junior has received much acknowledgement for not only openly communicating through SNS with their global fans, but also for using it as a word of mouth marketing tool. With Hallyu (Korean wave) K-pop stars using these methods of combined advanced technology and marketing tools in order to be acknowledged in the global markets, makes me proud.
Finally, I will close our CES 2012 coverage with Super Junior’s “Mr. Simple” music video. Thanks for the follow and keep up the support for CES 2012!
