Glasslock – Clearly Better than Plastic Storage Containers
As a working mom who was also a student, my mother never had much time to cook. At dinner time, efficiency was very important for our family. To save the time to clean the bowls for the numerous side dishes that make up a Korean meal, my mom started to serve food out of the same plastic containers she would later store the leftovers in.
Everything was fine until I needed to reheat the food in the microwave. I had to take out the food out of the plastic container and put it onto a microwavable dish. Also when I put food with strong colors like kimchi into these containers, the red color would get absorbed making it difficult to put other type of food in it.
Eventually, however, my family entered the world of Glasslock containers. These are made by Samkwang Glass, a company known for its versatile and durable housewares and storage containers.
Glasslock containers are microwavable and are at least twice as shock-resistant as conventional glassware because they’re made out of heat-resistant tempered glass. Another huge benefit is that these containers are non-toxic, unlike some plastic containers.

As you can see from the picture above, Glasslock can be used in multiples places in the kitchen. It keeps your refrigerator more organized and one the containers look good enough to go straight from the fridge to the table, even when you have guests. I’ve found that Glasslock also makes a great lunchbox.
