The schedule is full of fun and interesting events, including classical and traditional music performances as well as Korean film screenings, poetry readings and everyone’s favorite – food!

The musical performances will feature renowned Korean artists like Jo Su-mi, pansori singer Lee Ja-ram and violinist Sarah Chang.

Additionally, the “Korean Alexander McQueen,” Korean fashion designer Lie Sang Bong, has been chosen to represent Korean fashion in London for the cultural program. On July 30, he will become the first Korean designer to hold a gala reception and fashion show at the Victoria & Albert Museum. The fashion show will present exquisite, colorful designs inspired by a modern and creative reinterpretation of Korean culture.

The event is being organized through a collaboration between the culture ministry and the Korea Culture and Information Service, which is at the center for the 24 Korean cultural centers abroad.

According to the Korea Times, Culture Minister Choe Kwang-shik has said that Korea is the only country invited by the Southbank Centre in the British capital to provide promotional events coinciding with the Olympics.

So if you’re planning on being in London during this festival, make sure to check out some of the events!
